TRETORN CAMPOS
Design for: Tretorn Sweden
Season: FW 2020
Contribution: Lead Designer
Campos was one of the the projects I enjoyed the most at Tretorn. It was a style in which I had the opportunity to design everything from scratch. In order to open up a completely new outsole without having to pay the large costs of opening up a new mold, I used the oldschool way of vulcanization, just like Tretorns rubber boots are made. I wanted this style to be robust and contemporary while still being timeless and casual. The upper is made from locally sourced cotton canvas, L.I.T.E Suede from Tantec. (Less Impact on The Environment) The name Campos is taken from an old Tretorn sneaker from the 1940´s.

CAMPOS - FIELD GREEN GUM is inspired by the colors of the forrest. The pale, almost sun bleached canvas and the warm ”moss like” suede reminds of the green shifts you find in nature and combines well with the natural gum outsole.

CAMPOS - WHITE STONE GUM is a raw, naked and honest colorway. I wanted the the different materials, locally sourced canvas, suede, aluminum and natural rubber to look raw and untreated, but also have a bit of patina.
CAMPOS - BURNT HENNA/BONE is a more sporty colorway, but also this one has its inspiration from nature. The red contrasts are taken from autumn leaves and stands out against the offwhite tones.
